Best Day Ever - Part 2

After enjoying my time with the stars in the darkness of Yosemite, I decided it was time to go back to my room. The drive home was scarier than I thought it would be. 2 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES back to Merced! As scary as this drive would turn out to be, it was also my favorite part of the trip! The night sky was distracting, the mountain was dark, the roads were empty. There were a lot of animals scurrying across the road! Little animals! Rats, rabbits a possum and…

…A MOUNTAIN LION! Yes, I saw a mountain lion! It was just a cub, but I KNOW the mother was very close.

Occasionally I pulled over on the side of the road and let the window down to peek at the stars. I got out once to get a good view and I was afraid for my LIFE! There were hundreds and hundreds of stars that lit up the night! It’s a shame that it has to be a rare occasion to see hundreds of stars every night. I wish I could have seen the night sky before lights were invented.

There were a few questionable choices my GPS made on the route home. One road I took looked like a scene straight from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I had no choice but to drive slower than the speed limit in this area because there were animals running across the road! Still, I made it back to my room safely.

If you want to know about the drive down 59, ask me in person. It was by far, the smoothest ride I have ever taken!

Last Day

Twas the last day of my trip and I decided not to take the drive back to Yosemite National Park. Instead, I went to see Captain America: Civil War. It was a great movie! Superhero films and superheroes, in general, have been on my mind a lot lately. I find the creation of the characters and their backstories to be very interesting. I used this day as a relaxation day and a chance to think about some things I want to do next.

Before I had to return the rental car, I went to Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco in search of FRESH SEAFOOD! I ate at No 9 Fishermen’s Grotto. Ordered a half crab with garlic and butter…

…the best crab I have ever eaten in my entire life! Juicy. Flavorful. Messy. PERFECT! Great way to end my San Francisco trip.

I hope you all have enjoyed my photos and blog. I will get better at blogging and sharing my thoughts and photos with you all.

It's time to start planning the next trip!
